ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as a Maintenance Operative will be to ensure the building and grounds are well maintained, undertaking a variety of routine maintenance tasks, checks to services applying basic fixes to equipment and systems whilst ensuring facilities are fully functional. Other responsibilities will include: Carrying out all general maintenance tasks and basic repairs including all electrical, plumbing joinery and building tasks both inside and outside the Home.
Main duties of the job
The Maintenance Operative role at Avery Healthcare involves ensuring that the building and grounds are well-maintained. It includes carrying out routine maintenance tasks, performing basic fixes on equipment and systems, and ensuring that the facilities are fully functional. The role also involves performing general maintenance tasks and basic repairs, including electrical, plumbing, joinery, and building tasks inside and outside the home. Additionally, the Maintenance Operative supports new residents to arrange their rooms as they wish and ensures routine re-decoration is undertaken to maintain the homes standards. The successful candidate will advise on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods. Part of the role involves providing an out of hours emergency service and participating in the on-call rota.
