Simply Serve Limited is looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Craftsperson Electrician to join our Estates Team at Yeovil District Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a busy healthcare environment where your expertise directly supports patient care and vital hospital services.Simply Serve Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, providing specialist Estates and Facilities, Healthcare Science and support services to the organisation.
This role offered a Recruitment and Retention Payment of £3,500 per annum paid monthly.
Main duties of the job
As part of our specialist Estates and Facilities team, you will help maintain a wide range of engineering systems and equipment across the hospital, ensuring a safe and reliable environment for patients, staff and visitors.What You'll Be Doing
You'll undertake a variety of planned and reactive maintenance activities, including:
- Fault finding, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and engineering plant.
- Working on fire alarms, electrical installations, emergency generators, building management systems, pumps, motors, ventilation and heating systems.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Responding to emergency, urgent and routine maintenance requests.
- Liaising with ward and department managers to arrange access and minimise disruption to services.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and other departments.
- Participating in the Estates on-call rota.
- Maintaining accurate records using the Trust's Facilities Management system
