Experience
Essential
- Experience of electronic patient management systems, and treatment and image verification systems
- Sound knowledge of variety of complex treatment techniques
- Experience in radiotherapy imaging techniques
Education & Qualifications
Essential
- DCR(T) or BSc in Therapeutic Radiography (or equivalent)
- Registered with HCPC as a Therapeutic Radiographer
Skills/Knowledge/ Abilities
Essential
- Knowledge and understanding of standard and non-standard complex and conformal techniques
- Understanding of IR(ME)R and its application
- Experience in communicating with distressed or anxious patients/relatives
- Able to act as mentor, supervisor and assessor for student radiographers
- Knowledge of current professional issues
- Understands the risks associated with radiation and the optimisation of patients treatments
