Job overview
To provide a comprehensive MDT coordination service to the lung cancer screening programme. To work collaboratively the lung cancer team and secretarial colleagues to ensure clinical correspondence is produced and distributed with acceptable timescales. The post holder will carry out their duties as defined in this job description in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and that confidentiality be maintained at all times.
This post is 30 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Lung Cancer screening team. They will be the first point of contact for the programme and, therefore, this role is vital to ensuring the business of the programme is efficient and effective. As well as building and maintaining excellent internal relationships the post holder will be responsible for liaising with a range of outside agencies including members of the targeted Lung Health Check Delivery Group, Integrated Care Board and West Midlands Cancer Alliance.
