HEALTHCARE SUPPORT WORKER - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

We are in the fortunate position to be recruiting to a permanent health care support worker role within the Occupational Therapy Department, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. as part of Medicine and Unscheduled Care development to support a 7 day service.

The post will involve working closely with Occupational Therapy team and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions.

Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision & in-service opportunities.

Applicants must hold a valid full UK Drivers Licence.

Applications must be fully completed. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

There may be a requirement to provide 7 day service cover to include weekends and Public Holidays to meet the service needs. There may also be a requirement to support other Occupational Therapy teams within the acute Occupational Therapy service.

Interviews will involve a practical element, therefore in person interviews are only opportunity to candidates. We are unable to support any online interviews for this post.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
