The post is based in the Rheumatology Department at Airedale General Hospital. Some clinics are undertaken at different sites such as at Skipton hospital The post holder will undertake outpatient clinics independently/ autonomously, review inpatient referrals, manage day case patients and work with the multidisciplinary team (if part time working, will predominantly be outpatient clinics with little commitment to inpatient referrals). The department has proactively developed services to improve patient care and experience including setting up of telephone clinics, e-consultation service, and group counselling clinics for both bDMARDs and sDMARDs. We have developed a bespoke DMARD monitoring system on SystmOne (primary electronic healthcare record). There are regular MDT meetings weekly (rheumatology/ radiology MDT and rheumatology team internal MDT) which the post holder is expected to participate actively in.
