We have a new opportunity for a Locum Consultant Ortho-Geriatrician to join our Orthopaedic team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will provide joint peri- and post-operative care for frail trauma patients admitted under the Trauma team.
Main duties of the job
We currently review and manage all patients admitted with femoral fractures, over the age of 60, throughout their admission, offering a consultant review three times a week.
We also offer a comprehensive frailty service, reviewing all admitted patients (under the Orthopaedic team) with either a fragility fracture or a frailty score of ≥5.
We provide bone health follow-up clinic for our patients and if there is interest in expanding our out-patient support following discharge this is something we could explore.
