Locum Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Full Time - 10 PAs
Fixed term for 12 months
Salary Scale - £111,430 - £148,064 per annum (pro rata if part time)

We are seeking to appoint a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with skills complementary to existing consultant’s interests. An interest in high risk obstetrics, maternal diabetes or fetal medicine would be welcomed. However, any special areas of interest could be considered after appointment. A significant contribution to our antenatal footprint anticipated. The role will also cover the labour ward. The job plan consists of ten programmed activities including OOH.

Qualifications
Essential
- Membership of the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent
- Full GMC registration, with licence to practise
- Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT)

Desirable
- Higher degree e.g. MSc, MD or PhD higher degree
- MBA or other relevant diplomas

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

- High level of competence in the clinical aspects of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and evidence of an ability to develop new skills and train colleagues as appropriate.
- Good information technology and administrative skills.

- Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
- Appropriate sub specialty interest and knowledge.
- Understanding Forth Valley pathways and process for managing emergency patients
- Evidence that the applicant has considered their role and contribution to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team and how this might help Forth Valley Health Board meet its service obligations
- Any Obstetric ATSM (or equivalent)
- Intermediate RCOG Gynaecology Scanning Module ( or equivalent)
