Main duties of the job

This role offers an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering trauma services in the region and improving outcomes for our patients. The successful applicants will work at the centre of a regional network that covers nearly 4 million people (adults & children) in our Major Trauma Centre, which includes a dedicated major trauma ward, theatres, and critical care facilities. As a natural hub for Yorkshire, and with excellent connections to all parts of the North of England, we have worked hard to bring a logical alignment to patient services with well-equipped, modern facilities, which will see services dedicated to helping critically ill patients all located together in the Jubilee Wing at Leeds General Infirmary. We are the first major multi-site hospital in the UK to have adopted this under-one-roof approach to patient care. The appointed candidate will join a dedicated Consultant-led, multi-disciplinary team, delivering focused care to patients with severe and multiple injuries admitted to the Major Trauma Centre.
