Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic interventional radiologist with a progressive attitude, to support the local GI, GU and hepatobiliary services and the vascular interventional radiology services, as part of the Bedfordshire Milton Keynes (BMK) Vascular Unit

Maintain top clinical standards, provide high-quality imaging/Interventional Radiology, share patient management, cover general radiology/on-call, support staff training, engage in governance, audits, and CPD.

Maintain top clinical standards, provide high-quality imaging/Interventional Radiology, share patient management, cover general radiology/on-call, support staff training, engage in governance, audits, and CPD.

  • Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the Hospital.
  • To deliver a high-quality imaging service with a focus on Interventional Radiology,
  • To share, with colleagues in the Imaging Department, the management of all patients referred to the Trust.
  • To share in the general radiology work of the department including currently a 1 in 18 on call rota, moving to a 7-day Interventional on-call in the near future.
  • To support radiographers and sonographer staff in the department and be involved in the teaching and training of specialist registrars grade, junior medical staff, nursing staff and medical students.
  • To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
  • To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD).
