Consultant in Dental Public Health – Oral Health Directorate, NHSGG&C

10 sessions per week

Fixed term for 18 months

Based within the Oral Health Directorate Offices, Stobhill Hospital

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified colleague to join the Oral Health Directorate in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This post will provide consultant level dental public health expertise and advice to ensure the development and delivery of an evidence-based Oral Health strategies across Greater Glasgow and Clyde for the Oral Health Directorate which includes the Public Dental Service, General Dental Practices, Health Improvement Teams and Secondary Care Dental Services.

The post holder will also work closely with the Consultants in Public Health within Greater Glasgow and Clyde on general public health issues. Applicants must have full registration with the General Dental Council and be eligible for inclusion in the GDC’s Specialist Register in Dental Public Health.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher Specialist Training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within six months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Applications will be considered on a part time or sessional basis.
