Main duties of the job

You will join a team of 7 Consultant Hepatologists, to allow for the continuation of current activity and re-organisation of the existing Hepatology service based at the Southampton General Hospital.

You must have a higher degree and experience in research.

Your responsibilities will include provision of a 7 day service for endoscopy and specialty inpatients.

The principal duty of this post is to contribute to providing a comprehensive clinical service to Hepatology patients. .

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Inpatient and out patient care to hepatology patients, complementing the sub specialities of the existing consultants.
  • Support the local liver transplant, the liver cancer patient, the cystic fibrosis patient workload
  • Provide endoscopy sessions.
  • Contribute to 7 day working patterns and contribute to out of hours endoscopy rota.
