Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive general anaesthetic service and contribute to the ongoing development of anaesthetic services across the Trust. You will: - Deliver high-quality elective and emergency anaesthetic care - Participate in the consultant on-call rota - Support teaching and supervision of trainees and medical students - Contribute to clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities - Participate in departmental research programmes - Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams - Provide leadership and support service development initiatives - The post offers flexibility to support candidates wishing to develop subspecialty interests including perioperative medicine, paediatric anaesthesia, obstetric anaesthesia and other specialist areas.
