We are looking to appoint to a Part-time Locum Consultant Allergist to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Northern General Hospital (7 PAs).
We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.

Main duties of the job
The appointee will, together with consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision and professional direction of the Clinical Immunology and Allergy Unit and will work flexibly to ensure continuous provision of clinical duties. The new appointee will be responsible for delivery of allergy related clinics only with no duties in respect of immunology related clinics or laboratory work.
The main duties are as specified below:
- To provide weekly Allergy outpatient clinics and to support day case activity within the CIAU. • To work as part of a MDT to determine treatment plans for patients. • To maintain revalidation and CPD in Allergy. • To have a continuing clinical responsibility for patients admitted under your care and for any managerial/administrative arrangements necessary for their continuing care. To this end, the appointee(s) will contribute to the regular meetings of the CIAU Sub-Directorate. • To participate in the Trust’s annual appraisal process.
The successful candidate will work according to the terms and conditions of the national consultant contract.
