Cygnet Healthcareis looking forLearning Disabilities Night Support Workerto join our team working atOakwood Gardens.
Youll be working42 hours a week (nights only 19:45pm - 08:00am, includingalternative weekends) making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atOakwood Gardens.
Oakwood Gardenshas9 self-contained bungalows supporting adults over the age of 18 with learning difficulties & autism, located inWV5 0BR, Wombourne.
Our Supported Living provides nine tenancies. The service empowers individuals with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours to live more independently. The service offers personalised and tailored support in a private space, allowing the people we support to hold their own tenancy with a registered housing association.
**Must have previous experience working with learning disabilities to apply**
We are looking for someone who is:
- Driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives
- Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities
- An excellent communicator and a good team player
- Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
- Passionate about empowering & s upporting service user independence
Your day-to-day
- Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
- Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
- Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
- Assist with medical & welfare needs
- Report on medical & welfare needs as required
- Safeguard all patients
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
About the Role...
- Helping to promote resident independence
- Supporting residents in all aspects of day-to-day life, encouraging and promoting independence
- Monitoring of residents and reporting concerns to senior team members or managers
- Going out with residents into the local community to attend events, parks, restaurants and local activities
- Completing the residents records to help monitor health
