The role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive and forward‑thinking Community Dietetic Team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. We currently have a part-time post available and are looking for enthusiastic, motivated dietitian to join the South Clyde Community Dietetic Service, delivering high-quality, evidence‑based care to adults with learning disabilities and general community.

The postholder will work across the South Clyde Quadrant, providing a specialist dietetic service to people with learning disabilities and their carers within the Inverclyde area whilst also supporting work of the general community team in a variety of settings, including:

• Individuals’ own homes
• Supported accommodation
• Resource centres
• Community clinics

You will work closely with medical, nursing and AHP colleagues, contributing to a person-centred, multidisciplinary approach to care.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• Ferguslie Clinic, Inverclyde
• Three days out of seven
• Part-time, permanent
• Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours

Key responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering an evidence-based dietetic service in line with national and local priorities
• Providing specialist input to people with learning disabilities, their carers and support staff
• Working in partnership with other professionals to meet complex nutritional needs
• Supervision, teaching and mentoring of student dietitians, dietetic assistants/support workers and clerical staff
• Planning and delivering education and training for healthcare professionals, covering broad nutritional topics across the life course
• Supporting local health improvement activity
• Contributing to the ongoing development of the Nutrition and Dietetic Service

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics (or equivalent)
• HCPC registration
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A commitment to person‑centred, inclusive care
