Position: Learning and Development Assistant, Vocational Learning (Assessor)

We have an exciting opportunity for a committed and motivated assistant who will participate in supporting the delivery of Vocational Learning within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. In this post you will be working within a small and enthusiastic team responsible for delivering Scottish Vocational Qualifications, Modern Apprenticeships and Professional Development Awards.

What you will do:

The post holder will work directly with the Learning and Development Advisor – Vocational Learning in providing advice and guidance on Vocational Qualifications to line and service managers and will undertake workplace assessments, providing learning support and guidance to candidates undertaking an SVQ/MAs in Business & Administration and Learning & Development at SCQF Levels 6 and 7. The post holder will also work closely with the Business Support Manager in supporting the operational requirements of the training and education centres.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, flexible team player who has a working knowledge and understanding of business and administration procedures and guidelines including SVQ/MA delivery with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

Whilst this post is based at the training centre at Ayrshire Central Hospital - Irvine, you will be required to work across all sites with scope for some hybrid/home working. The normal shift pattern for this post is 09:00 – 17:00 hrs Monday to Thursday 09:00 and 16:30hrs Friday.
