Lead Radiographer - Quality and Clinical Governance
We are looking for a forward thinking enthusiastic radiographer who will take a leading role in quality & governance across all imaging services at Croydon Health Services. This role will ensure that services delivered by Radiology are safe and well-led.
This is a key leadership role in the department and offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their managerial and organisational skills.
This role will also lead on the development and implementation of QSI accreditation for Croydon.
The department performs in excess of 250,000 all examinations per annum and has an active Clinical Governance programme. There are currently approximately 150 Staff in post in the Diagnostic Imaging department, including 26 Consultant Radiologists and Speciality Grade Doctors.

To be responsible for the development, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical governance systems and processes which support the monitoring of key quality indicators in all Radiology services.
To develop, maintain and monitor mechanisms which improve the quality of patient safety within the Radiology department. This involves leading and developing staff safety activities and across the patient journey supporting the development of the overall clinical governance and quality agenda.
To provide managerial leadership for incident management, using Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) as the tool to develop and maintain effective systems and processes for responding to patient safety incidents for the purpose of learning and improving safety.
To lead on ensuring the implementation of national policy directives/national evidence based practice in relation to the quality agenda, providing specialist advice and support to clinicians as appropriate.
To liaise closely with the Directorate Risk Manager, clinical leads within the Radiology department (radiographic and radiological) and other clinical governance colleagues internal and external to the Trust.
