Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional leadership & management of rotational staff. The post holder is the named and identified lead and point of contact for advice & expertise. Responsible for the care and professional practice delivered with a Radiographic workforce. The post holder will be a state registered Radiographer with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) & will work within codes of practice and professional guidelines. As a professional clinical manager & a member of the radiology management team, they will be responsible for leading, developing & managing all resources (human, physical & financial) for paediatrics within Radiology LGI at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT). The post holder has accountability for delivering a safe, effective, efficient & quality service appropriate for all users in accordance with the Trusts strategic plans & operational policies. They are accountable for delivering service-related targets, implementing legislation & national frameworks. Post holders at this level are expected to have significant knowledge of the specific modality including technical & operational issues. They will provide specialist advice & be consulted on a wide range of issues which arise in their modality. They will ensure the highest standards of technical, clinical & operational practice.
