- EPS transformation: Leading the rollout and optimisation of EPS, redesigning prescribing and medicines supply pathways.

- Financial sustainability: Using prescribing data to identify efficiencies, deliver savings and demonstrate the benefits of EPS.
- Medicines safety: Supporting medicines governance, incident learning and controlled drugs assurance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
As our Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in delivering the Trust-wide implementation and ongoing development of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), helping us improve patient access to medicines, streamline prescribing pathways and deliver safer, more efficient services.
Working closely with our Pharmacy Clinical Informatics Team, clinical pharmacy colleagues and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will lead EPS implementation, support system optimisation and training, and help us realise the benefits of digital transformation for our patients and staff.
You will also work closely with our Medicines Safety Pharmacist and Medication Safety Officer, supporting the delivery of our medicines safety priorities. This will include reviewing and analysing medicines-related incidents reported through Datix, identifying trends and opportunities for learning, coordinating audits and supporting improvement initiatives.
A further part of your role will involve supporting controlled drugs governance across our wards and clinical areas, coordinating audits, monitoring compliance and working with clinical teams to address identified risks and improve practice.
This is a varied role that brings together digital transformation, medicines safety, governance and quality improvement, offering the opportunity to work across different clinical services and make a meaningful contribution to patient care.
