- EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Relevant clinical postgraduate experience in Occupational Therapy, including experience as a senior practitioner working with people with mental health problems in particular personality disorders, behavior that may challenge, depression, psychosis and dual diagnosis. Experience of working autonomously, being responsible for own practice and managing a varied and complex workload. Experienced lead planner and facilitator in a range of treatment sessions on a group or individual basis including: Practical based, discussion, support and psycho-educational groups. Including experience of working with clinical staff of a variety of grades to support their development of treatment skills
- EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
HCPC registration. • BSc/ pre-registration MSc or equivalent in Occupational Therapy

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and developing services.

- Significant post-registration experience working with people with complex mental health needs.

Main duties of the job
As the Lead Occupational Therapist, you will provide clinical, professional and operational leadership for the Occupational Therapy service. You will lead a dedicated Occupational Therapy team, contribute to the Senior Management Team, and play a key role in driving service development, quality improvement and innovation across the service.
You will deliver highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for young people experiencing complex mental health difficulties, while supporting the multidisciplinary team through consultation, training and practice-based learning.
- Lead and develop Occupational Therapy services within a specialist Tier 4 CAMHS setting.
- Shape innovative, occupation-focused and evidence-based practice.
- Influence service development and strategic decision-making.
- Lead and develop a skilled Occupational Therapy workforce.
- Drive quality improvement, service evaluation and research activity.
- Work alongside experienced professionals across nursing, psychology, psychiatry, family therapy, social work and education.
