Laundry Assistant

Working in collaboration and unison with the Housekeeper and the wider domestic team you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient running of all laundry processes in the home. This will include giving your undivided attention and care to all items for laundering, performing minor repairs to the residents personal items of clothing whilst being respectful and supportive of individual and differing needs. Continually and compassionately assess all aspects of residents laundry requirements and provide dedicated and individualised attention if / when required. Methodically ensure that the laundry room is permanently clean and tidy, and that all equipment is clean and well maintained alongside imparting your knowledge to all other colleagues to ensure they adhere to the same high standards.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include giving undivided attention to all items for laundering, performing minor repairs to residents clothing, and supporting individual needs. You will ensure the laundry room is clean and tidy, and all equipment is well maintained. You must be mindful of individual religious and cultural backgrounds, making sure residents feel they receive personalized service.
