We are pleased to advertise for Band 2 Laundry Assistants to work at The Royal Oldham Hospital.
The posts are permanent and 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday, 12noon - 8pm. You must be able to work Bank Holidays and Weekend Rotas if required.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the job is to fully support the objectives of providing a cost effective and efficient, quality linen service to the Northern Care Alliance and its customers.
To ensure all required items are processed to the required quality standards and delivered “on-time” while maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff.

Essential
- To be able to work as part of a large team also capable of working on own initiative with minimum Supervision.
Desirable
- Hold a full clean UK driving license
Experience
Essential
- Must have basic literacy & numeracy skills and a good level comprehension and be able to communicate at all levels.
- Working Knowledge of Health & Safety
Desirable
- Experience of ancillary or factory work
- Laundry / Domestic / Mechanical work experience
Qualifications
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 in a laundry or similar occupation
- GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths.
