DEPUTY CHARGE NURSE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMHN) to join the team in Skene Ward, Royal Cornhill Hospital as Deputy Charge Nurse.
Skene Ward is an 18 bedded, mixed sex ward for individuals who have a diagnosis of dementia and can experience varied levels of stress and distress behaviours. The focus of our service is to provide high quality, person centred care to patients who are admitted for assessment purposes who require to be supported at differing stages of their journey.
The post holder should hold a genuine interest in working in the Older Adult Directorate, particularly in dementia care.
Suitable candidates should have extensive post registration nursing experience and should have a knowledge of the current challenges facing the service and the patient group. The suitable candidate should display effective leadership skills and be passionate about personal and service development.
This post is full time, 36 hours per week. The post holder will be expected to work on a 12 hour shift pattern, mainly dayshift however there may be the expectation to work the occasional night duty.
