We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join North Aberdeenshire HSCP Drug and Alcohol Service’s team. You will be based within our multi-disciplinary drug and alcohol teams, with bases covering Peterhead, Fraserburgh and Banff. You will be supported by our Lead and Advanced Pharmacists within NHS Grampian and Aberdeenshire HSCP.
You will be responsible for delivering a specialised clinical pharmacy service to support the Alcohol and Drugs Service.
We are looking for candidates with good clinical knowledge and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment. An independent prescribing qualification would be highly desirable but those currently undertaking or willing to undertake their prescribing qualification would also be considered. Candidates should have an understanding of the unique pressures that are faced by people who use drugs or alcohol, provide a patient centred approach to care and challenge stigma where it arises. You will have a role in providing pharmaceutical support, advice and training to staff and students, to act as a role model and to participate in audit and research.
