Are you a hardworking and reliable team player who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment? We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our team and help deliver a high-quality dining experience for our patients and visitors to the Orangery Cafe This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced chefs in a supportive and welcoming kitchen. Previous kitchen or catering experience is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right person.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the chefs with the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Assisting with basic food preparation, including salads and sandwiches. Washing dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety. Keeping the wash-up area clean and organised throughout your shift. Cleaning kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors. Disposing of waste safely and responsibly. Working closely with front-of-house colleagues to ensure a smooth service. Carrying out other reasonable duties as requested by the Chef or Head Chef.
