Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant - Bank to join our award-winning team at Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes. The role involves supporting the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals. Applicants are expected to understand the principles of safe food handling, contribute fully to team working, advise on supply and quality of items, and act respectfully towards residents and visitors. Our ideal candidate must:
- Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate anddemonstrateshigh standardsof personal hygiene.
- Have theknowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
- Be an efficient worker, capable ofa high levelof sustained physical effort and able torespond to a demandingworkload.
- Demonstrate initiative and display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.
- Exhibit a caring andunderstanding attitude towards the residents.
