Main duties of the job
Avery Healthcare is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their team at Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home in Surrey. The role focuses on supporting the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for safe production of beverages and meals. Responsibilities include understanding principles of safe food handling, contributing to team working, advising on supply and quality of items, and acting accordingly towards residents respecting dignity and individuality. You should embody Averys values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Ideal candidates must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, possess knowledge of Health and Safety, be capable of sustained physical effort, and exhibit a caring attitude towards residents. ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Kitchen Assistant is tosupportthe catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high quality and comprehensive service is delivered to residents.

- Be an efficient worker, capable ofa high levelof sustained physical effort and able torespond to a demandingworkload.
- Demonstrate initiative and display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working.
- Exhibit a caring andunderstanding attitude towards the residents.
