Job overview

Your role will be to work as part of the multidisciplinary team, to provide child focused, family centred care for children/young people requiring admission to Paediatric services.

You will coordinate and deliver evidence-based care while being responsible for liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team when the patient does not fulfil the admission criteria for care delivery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

You will participate in the provision of a high standard of patient centred evidence-based nursing care and assist in the delivery of a family-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service; from a babies/child’s/young person’s admission assessment to discharge.

You will act as a role model to deliver a high standard of care to the children and young people whilst supporting learners within the environment to develop their knowledge and skills. Contribute to the development of action plans, protocols and pathways to ensure  continuous quality improvement of the paediatric/neonatal service.

Use appraisal reviews to progress personal and professional knowledge and skills. Undertake the mentorship role in support of learners.

We would also consider applications from adult registered nurses that have significant experience in Paediatrics.
