Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is working with partners across the care community to deliver a unique, cross care setting, real time, patient centric electronic health record that will improve the quality and delivery of care to the patient.

This role forms part of a specialist team of multi skilled clinical systems professionals committed to the service delivery and continual improvement of a fit for purpose customer focused IT Clinical Systems service to ANHSFT and our wider Place partners including BTHFT.

To provide specialist knowledge enabling the design, development and delivery of a consistent and professional IT Clinical Systems service in the use of the Trust’s Patient and Information Systems, ensuring accurate requirement assessment and successful knowledge transfer. Promote the importance of data integrity and the use of good data to inform effective decision-making.

To play a leading role in the smartcard support and provisions for the Trust. To provide support to services around the use of IT Clinical Systems, which will include second line helpdesk support, Configuration requirements, development of data entry and capture materials, bug and issue resolution and Training and Go-Live support as required

Main duties of the job

Support the BAU support and also introduction of new SystmOne modules and other clinical systems across the Trust and Place partners such as BTHFT by:

  • working with project team members to support the implementation of the newly defined and agreed business processes and clinical system usage as agreed within the various Projects
  • Part of a specialist team of multi skilled clinical systems professionals responsible and accountable for the service delivery and continual improvement of a fit for purpose customer focused IT Clinical Systems service.
  • Ensure effective provision and communication of complex or sensitive system information, which may be complicated. Assess training requirements and provide system analysis, and support using verbal or written reports to system suppliers and IT Managers as appropriate.
  • Provide specialist help desk functionality for Trust and place partners IT Clinical Systems and Smartcards, accurately logging and communicating issues and problems with system suppliers, the wider IT Clinical Systems Team and IT Managers.
  • Interpret and communicate complex systems information and processes within the organisation and to external system suppliers
