Are you passionate about using data to improve patient care and drive meaningful change? We are looking for an exceptional senior data analyst to join the Health Information Services team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how data and insight support decision-making across the Trust. Working closely with clinical, operational and senior leadership teams, you will transform complex healthcare data into clear, actionable intelligence that improves services and enhances patient outcomes.

As a senior member of the team, you will act as a subject matter expert across a range of specialist areas, providing trusted analytical expertise and influencing the development of high-quality reporting within the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR). You will help ensure that clinicians and managers have access to accurate, timely and meaningful information to support both strategic and operational decisions.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver expert analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex healthcare information to support service improvement and informed decision-making
  • Act as a subject matter expert within designated areas of the Health Information Services reporting portfolio
  • Develop high-quality reports, dashboards and information products that enable clinical and operational teams to better understand and use their data
  • Support the ongoing development and refinement of data capture within the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record system
  • Provide specialist advice on data interpretation, benchmarking, performance metrics and analytical best practice
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, managers and operational teams to improve information literacy and encourage effective use of data
  • Support the delivery of training and guidance on self-service analytical tools and reporting solutions
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that improve data quality, integrity and usability across the Trust
  • Ensure robust analytical standards, governance and methodologies are consistently applied in all areas of work

Analytical and technical responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret highly complex healthcare data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences, including non-specialists
  • Translate advanced statistical and analytical concepts into practical, accessible insight that supports decision-making
  • Produce reports, dashboards and performance information that drive action and support operational and clinical priorities
  • Provide expert advice on benchmarking, performance reporting and the interpretation of healthcare data

Service improvement and quality

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of analytical services across the Trust
  • Identify opportunities to improve the capture, quality and effectiveness of data within the Electronic Patient Record
  • Support service improvement projects through analysis, evaluation, audit and research activity
  • Interpret and apply national guidance and organisational policies to support operational and strategic objectives
  • Promote high standards of data quality, governance and analytical practice across the organisation
  • Support colleagues in developing confidence and capability in the use of data and information

Organisation and leadership

  • Manage multiple priorities and complex pieces of work within a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently while ensuring alignment with Trust policies, procedures and strategic priorities
