• To support delivery of the Trust Improvement agenda through undertaking a range of improvement activities and supporting staff and teams to achieve sustainable improvements. To work collaboratively with teams across the Trust, utilising a range of improvement methodologies
• To deliver improvements through facilitation, engagement of stakeholders, analysis, planning and project management
• To contribute to organisational learning and the spread of improvement through training, coaching and the sharing of quality improvement tools, techniques and initiatives.

Main duties of the job

• Support teams across the Trust to identify, plan, deliver and sustain improvement initiatives.
• Facilitate improvement activities using recognised quality improvement approaches, methods and tools.
• Coach and support colleagues to develop their improvement knowledge, skills and confidence.
• Work collaboratively with staff, patients, service users and partners to understand challenges and develop solutions.
• Support the collection, analysis and presentation of data to inform improvement work and measure impact.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings and improvement events that engage and empower teams.
• Share learning, good practice and successful improvement approaches across the organisation.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Trust.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels to support the successful delivery of improvement programmes

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

• Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board.
• Lead and facilitate patient-centred Quality Improvement (QI) projects, workshops and events to support teams in delivering measurable improvements in quality, safety, experience and outcomes.
• Support the delivery of improvements through effective facilitation, stakeholder engagement, data analysis, project planning and structured improvement methodologies.
• Coach and support staff to undertake continuous improvement initiatives, helping teams identify opportunities for improvement, test changes and implement practical solutions using Trust QI principles, methods and tools.
• Coordinate QI projects and workstreams, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure improvement activities are delivered effectively and achieve agreed objectives.
• Support the development of staff knowledge and skills in quality improvement methodologies, promoting the consistent use of improvement tools, techniques and measurement approaches.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and ensure that the experiences and perspectives of patients, carers and service users are considered throughout improvement activity.
• Deliver improvement projects aligned to Trust priorities, supporting the development of project plans, benefits tracking, reporting and evaluation processes.
• Analyse and present data to support improvement work, producing clear reports, presentations and updates for a range of audiences.
• Contribute to the delivery of the Trust's Quality Improvement Programme, QI Academy and Clinical & Practice Networks through facilitation, training and project support.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues, supporting collaboration and engagement across improvement initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day line management, supervision and support to designated members of the Improvement Team, including objective setting, performance review, wellbeing support and development of improvement knowledge and skills.
