Job overview

We are looking for someone who is friendly, and enjoys with working children and young people to join our team. This fixed term role will be to provide a broad range of administrative duties to support Suffolk Community and School Aged Immunisation Service. The service provides a variety of immunisations across the county of Suffolk in a variety of venues across all age ranges.

The successful candidate will support in community clinics and in school sessions across Suffolk as well as working in the office base to provide administrative support to the planning and management of school and other vaccination clinics. They will enjoy working with a variety of service users and enjoy variety in their work. One day is never the same in the service, so being adaptable and enjoying a varied role is important.

This ensures that those who came to the UK to pursue a career in adult social care can do so.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with a desire to improve the health and wellbeing of communities by supporting the delivery of a variety of vaccinations. The role involves supporting the immunisation team across a range of administrative tasks including answering the phone and emails a long with working in a variety of community clinics including schools, clinics and other community venues which may at times include people's homes. Ideally you will have experience and an interest in working with a variety of ages, and experience of working in a health care setting is useful. You will have excellent communication skills both spoken and written, and be able to establish good working relationships with a wide range of children and adults. You will be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel applications. The ability to organise and plan your workload is essential, alongside accuracy and a good eye for detail. Experience of working with SystmOne electronic health records would be an advantage.

A full valid driving license and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

There is a significant amount of driving as part of the role across the county on a daily basis.
