As we prepare to officially launch our brand-new Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in Hanley, S-O-T, UHNM’s Imaging Department is excited to welcome enthusiastic and motivated Imaging Department Assistants to join our expanding Community X-ray team. This is a full time role. 37.5hrs per week.

In this vital support role, you’ll work alongside Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners at the new CDC and across our four existing community sites. The team operates seven X-ray rooms across five locations in North Staffordshire, including:

  • Haywood Hospital
  • Leek Moorlands Hospital
  • Longton Cottage Hospital
  • Cobridge Health Centre
  • Hanley CDC

You’ll be part of a rotational team, delivering high-quality care across all sites.

We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about patient-centred care, excellent communicators, and adaptable team players ready to make a difference in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Main duties of the job

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with a wide variety of responsibilities—including data entry, front desk duties, direct patient care, supporting Diagnostic Radiographers, managing clinical stock, and keeping our departments spotless and well-organised.

We’re looking for driven individuals who live and breathe our Trust’s values, bring strong organisational and IT skills, and thrive in a team that puts patients first.

To apply, you’ll need experience working in a caring environment and hold at least five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above—including Maths and English.
