HR Business Partner

£65,125 to £70,303 per annum

The role of HR Business Partner within NHS Lanarkshire continues to evolve and operates as the senior HR professional supporting Divisional Senior Management Teams. Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Human Resources, HR Business Partners are aligned to Directors within the Divisions, ensuring that HR is fully and strategically integrated within business planning and service delivery.

As the senior HR professional embedded within a Divisional Senior Management Team, you will:

  • Provide strategic HR leadership aligned to divisional and organisational priorities
  • Develop and deliver workforce strategies and local people plans
  • Lead and advise on complex and high‑risk people management and employee relations matters
  • Use workforce intelligence, data and insight to inform effective HR interventions
  • Champion safe, sustainable workforce planning and service delivery
  • Influence, challenge and negotiate at senior level to resolve workforce and organisational challenges

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience of strategic HR leadership within a complex, unionised organisation
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate workforce data into actionable insight
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship‑building skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to workforce and organisational development
  • High levels of resilience, emotional intelligence and professional credibility in sensitive and high‑stakes situations
