ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained. Other responsibilities will include: Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions. Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be integral in maintaining cleanliness and laundry standards in a care home environment. You will be part of a team ensuring that hotel service standards are achieved. Your responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials, and ensuring that all areas are well presented. Additionally, you will ensure that residents are treated with dignity and respect, maintaining their personal space and belongings. To succeed in this role, you should have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments, as well as experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting. Compassion, commitment to high-quality service, and the ability to adapt to changing responsibilities are key attributes for success in this role.
