Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant, your role will be to ensure all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained according to standard operating procedures. Responsibilities also include carrying out cleaning duties as instructed, understanding the cleaning requirements for various surfaces, and ensuring well-maintained areas. You must treat all residents with dignity and respect. Candidates should demonstrate compassion, adaptability, and flexibility to cover varied responsibilities. Experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting and knowledge of health and safety, specifically Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments, are essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
