Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting our team and making a positive impact on residents' lives daily. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards within the home, operating according to our standard procedures. You'll work as part of a close-knit team, experiencing a culture that values respect, compassion, and exceptional care. Responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties as per worksheet instructions, understanding cleaning requirements for different surfaces, and ensuring resident dignity and respect. Candidates must embody our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Essential qualifications include knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments, as well as experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting. You must demonstrate compassion, commitment, and the ability to adapt to varied responsibilities at short notice. ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.

• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
