ABOUT THE ROLE Your focus as Housekeeping Assistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry are maintained in the home. You will operate according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards are maintained. Other responsibilities will include: Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions. Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.

Main duties of the job

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our care home team in Worcestershire as a Housekeeping Assistant. You'll work collaboratively within a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in the home, contributing positively to residents' lives daily. The role involves cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions and understanding cleaning requirements for different surfaces. It's important to treat all residents with dignity and respect, ensuring their personal spaces and belongings are respected at all times. Candidates must live by Avery's values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of Health and Safety, including COSHH, and have experience in public laundry settings. Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality services are essential, as is the ability to be adaptive and flexible in the role. Those interested will need proof of eligibility to work in the UK and will undergo a DBS Disclosure check paid for by Avery Healthcare.
