Main duties of the job

We're looking for a dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Housekeeping Assistant at Birchmere Mews Care Home. You'll work with a team to ensure all cleanliness standards are maintained. Responsibilities include carrying out all cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions and understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces. You'll ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of health and safety, particularly in Moving and Handling techniques, and experience in cleaning laundry. You must demonstrate commitment to delivering a high-quality housekeeping service to residents and be adaptive in covering a range of responsibilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
