Dorset County Hospital is looking to recruit 2 Part Time Housekeeping Assistants to strengthen the already existing friendly and hardworking team working night shifts.
Following several changes to the service we are providing throughout the main hospital and some surrounding sites, we are looking to recruit new staff to help us maintain and improve the standards of cleanliness within the hospital.
Available shifts:
22:00 to 06:00 - Monday, Tuesday & Friday - 22.5hours
22:00 to 0600 - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 22.5 hours
Right to work in the UK: This role is not available for Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications for this post in line with UKVI regulations.
Main duties of the job
The exact duties will vary across the shifts and the areas to be cleaned differ too. However, the main duties of the role remain the same, to keep all areas in the hospital clean for our patients and staff.
We operate a 24 hour a day service throughout the year and staff are being recruited for all shifts.
There are many different pressures throughout the day and across the hospital. The housekeeping team has to respond to these, working together with colleagues to ensure the best patient experience. You will be trained in house and be placed with experienced colleagues in the first instance allowing you to learn what is expected of you in a supportive environment.
