This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 20 hours per week, 4 days over a 7 day rota including every other weekend. Our Housekeeping shifts are 7.30am - 1pm and 1pm - 6.30pm.This is a great opportunity for work life balance in a meaningful and rewarding role, ensuring our high standards of cleanliness are maintained.
Main duties of the job

We are seeking a hard working Housekeeping Assistant with excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude to join our dedicated Support Services Team.
As a Housekeeper, you play a vital role in allowing our service to operate.
Previous experience of working within a Housekeeping environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Housekeeping Assistant Responsibilities:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in both clinical and non-clinical areas
- Following infection prevention and control procedures throughout your work
- Cleaning and maintaining patients rooms, with sensitivity, compassion and respect
- Ensuring all areas are welcoming and safe for patients, visitors and staff

Experience
Essential
- Knowledge & experience of working to H&SAW, COSHH standards
- Customer service awareness
- Strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Good motivational skills with the ability to engage and empathise.
- The ability to write and produce clear and effective correspondence.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
- High standard of personal presentation of work.
- Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong motivation to maintain high standards.
- Basic PC Skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience of working within a Housekeeping environment
- Familiarity with on-line training modules
- Experience of maintaining daily records of tasks & safety data
- Confidence to engage with patients, hospice visitors & the general public.
Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, good basic English & Maths
Desirable
- NVQs or equivalent
