Main duties of the job

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your primary role is to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards at Frognal House Care Home in Sidcup, Kent. You will operate under standard housekeeping and laundry procedures to ensure hotel service standards are met. Responsibilities include performing cleaning duties following worksheet instructions, understanding the cleaning needs of different surfaces and materials, and respecting residents' personal spaces and belongings. Ideal candidates should embody Avery's values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable behavior. Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols such as Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments is mandatory, alongside experience in public setting laundry cleaning. The role also demands the ability to adapt and cover multiple responsibilities at short notice. A DBS check and proof of UK work eligibility are required, with Avery covering the DBS cost.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
