We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our Facilities team and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff. Main duties of the job
As a Housekeeper, youll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the Hospice. This includes carrying out daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks, disposing of waste in line with infection control procedures, and using equipment safely following training. Youll also support our laundry service, washing, drying, ironing, and carefully returning patients personal items and bed linen. In addition, youll help maintain calm and welcoming surroundings by remaking beds, refreshing patient areas, and ensuring our hospice environment is always safe and comfortable. Working both independently and as part of our friendly Facilities team, youll contribute to the day-to-day experience of patients and their loved ones.

Job responsibilities
Carry out cleaning tasks across patient, clinical, and public areas to a high standard. Safely dispose of waste, including clinical waste, following infection control procedures. Support laundry services: wash, dry, iron, and return items to the correct patient or location. Clean and remake beds after patient discharge or during therapy/bathing. Ensure infection control and hygiene are maintained throughout the hospice. Use cleaning and laundry equipment safely and effectively (training provided). Report faults, hazards, or maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Coordinator.
