The role:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Band 2 Housekeeper to join our busy and dynamic ward in Larkfield Unit, Inverclyde Royal Hospital. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth running of clinical services by maintaining a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment, while also taking responsibility for procurement processes and supporting service improvements.
To provide a high standard of housekeeping and stock management within ward 2, ensuring compliance with infection control standards and supporting clinical teams. The post holder will take a lead role in ordering, organising, and monitoring stock and equipment, and will act as a key point of contact for facilities management issues.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Permanent, part-time.
Salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.
Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday.
Base location - Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
Familiarity with hospital/unit environments.
Experience or ability to identify areas where service delivery at unit level could be improved, assess the impact of reorganising service activity and navigate agreed change to a successful conclusion.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of hospital cleaning practices, particularly of isolation areas.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the safe and appropriate use of all cleaning related equipment.
Demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative, monitoring and recording systems and have an understanding of basic computer systems.
Awareness and understanding of Hospital Acquired Infection principles and its prevention.
Awareness and understanding of Food Hygiene principles.
