We are recruiting for a Housekeeper who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We are looking for a House Keeper to join with an experienced renal team who has extensive experience in developing workforce to manage renal units.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the  Lister Haemodialysis Unit at Lister Hospital.

The East and North Herts NHS Teaching Trust has a proven track record of successfully developing and managing Renal Dialysis Units at Stevenage, St Albans, Bedford, Luton and Harlow (PAH).  Spanning over three decades, our experience in dialysis, innovative research and treatment concepts has earned us national and international recognition.

The Strathmore Renal Unit is providing an environment with state-of-the-art IT systems and equipment.  Post holders will be trained in the delivery of high quality patient care in a dialysis setting.

Main duties of the job

You will work as an integral part of the team.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination all patient facilities/services in the unit area and for ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

The main elements of the role are contributing to a positive patient experience, ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs, as determined by the ward manager.

You will be required to work closely with contractors and support services departments.

You will assist in the monitoring of quality standards and be key in ensuring deficiencies are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
