The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the nursing team based in Royal Alexandra Hospital, Ward 18, a Gastroenterology/Medical ward.

In the role of Housekeeper, you will play a pivotal part in helping the smooth running of the ward, working closely with the Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) to ensure a clean and tidy environment and that stock levels are maintained.

Applicants should be flexible, reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

  • This is a permanent, part-time position of 24.6 hours per week
  • Please note the salary is pro rata for part-time hours
  • Royal Alexandra Hospital – Ward 18 (Gastroenterology/Medical ward)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Hours of work to be discussed with the Senior Charge Nurse

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the smooth running of the ward
  • Work closely with the Senior Charge Nurse
  • Maintain a clean and tidy ward environment
  • Ensure ward stock levels are maintained
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and reliably
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential
