An opportunity has arisen to join our team at North Manchester General Hospital as a Highly Specialist Pharmacist in Surgery.
This is a great chance for a highly motivated pharmacist to lead on the delivery of a high-quality, patient focused, clinical pharmacy service to our surgical patients on the North Manchester site. We have elective and non-elective pathways across a number of specialties including emergency surgical admissions, trauma & orthopaedics, max fax, breast and upper & lower GI surgery.

Main duties of the job
To deliver a high quality patient focused clinical pharmacy service for surgical services and to establish effective relationships with clinical staff and other stakeholders delivering inpatient and outpatient care to our service users.
To promote the responsible, safe , clinically-effective and cost-effective use of medicines within the service. To support education and development of medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in your role as Highly Specialist Pharmacist for surgery.
In addition to having a passion for surgical services you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team whilst also managing your own workload. You must be able to manage and motivate others and have the ability to influence the multidisciplinary team and engage with key stakeholders.
You will develop your leadership and management skills within Pharmacy, with line management and clinical supervision key elements of your role. You will be part of the departmental weekend, late and oncall rotas.
