Main duties of the job

As a High Intensity CBT Therapist with us, you'll play a central role in transforming lives. Youll deliver evidence-based CBT interventions for people experiencing depression and a range of anxiety disorders, in line with NICE guidance. Youll work within a stepped care model, ensuring people receive the least intrusive, most effective treatment tailored to their needs.

This is a hybrid role, you'll work at least one day a week face to face, helping break down barriers and improve accessibility for the people we serve. Youll also work one evening shift a week (12pm-8pm), allowing you to support clients who may not be able to access services during traditional hours. Your flexibility will make a real difference..

Job responsibilities

  • Deliver a talking therapy service to a clinical caseload to support clinical operational excellence.
  • Provide the agreed clinical activity as detailed in the Talking Therapies manual in order to deliver a high quality and compliant service.
  • Undertake records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols to support with clinical excellence.
  • Undertake accurate assessments of risks to self and others, documenting accurately and taking responsibility to ensure appropriate actions and documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Undertake an agreed activity contract relating to the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.
  • Coordinate with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.
  • Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.

Person specification

Experience

Essential

  • Deliver evidence-based therapy with compassion, structure, and flexibility
  • Are skilled in assessment, formulation, risk management, and collaborative working
  • Are enthusiastic about shaping and improving psychological therapy services

Qualifications

Essential

  • Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity Interventions (or equivalent CBT qualification)
  • Are BABCP accredited (or working toward full accreditation)

Desirable

  • Have (or are keen to pursue) additional training in EMDR or IAPT supervision
