We are recruiting a HCSW to be part of our Pain Management Team (Pain Clinic Heavitree with occasional shifts in Wonford). More details about the team can be found below.
The role of a Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) in the pain clinic involves chaperoning colleagues during patient examinations and procedures, assisting clinicians with procedures, and ensuring clinic areas are clean, tidy, and fully stocked. They help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment while supporting high standards of patient care, dignity, and infection prevention.

Providing personal care, promoting nutritional needs, and assisting in the recovery and recuperation of patients on their journey to better health are just some aspects of this essential role.

Our Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) form an essential and well-respected part of our healthcare teams across a number of dynamic settings; out in the community, in our acute hospitals or within our theatres teams to name just a few.
No previous experience or qualifications are required, just a desire to deliver excellent patient care with the support and guidance of your colleagues. You will quickly become a valued member of the team through our comprehensive training and induction programme and our commitment to learning and development will satisfy even the most ambitious person. Once youve completed your training, and gained the necessary experience you will progress along the salary scale.
If you have previous, related experience and can demonstrate the ability to meet the competencies of the role then you will join further up the salary scale and we will continue to invest in your development as you progress your career with us.
The team Pain Management Team - consists of Consultants, Pain Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, tACP and ESP.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends or bank holidays).
Start time 8am and latest finish time 6pm.
Half days and full days.
Shifts will vary due to demand of pain clinic.
